About LaNexa
Latvia-based agency building e-commerce stores and custom Laravel applications for European businesses since 2013.
From WordPress sites to custom Laravel applications
We started in 2013 building WordPress sites for businesses in Latvia. The work was straightforward and the budgets were small, but it taught us something we still use every day: the cheap shortcut someone took two years ago is the bug we end up fixing on a Sunday night. European e-commerce work pulled us toward PrestaShop, which we've been deploying since 1.6, and Laravel, which we've been writing since v4. Once clients started asking for admin layers and internal tools that didn't fit any off-the-shelf product, we leaned into custom application work.
Today we're based in Riga, working primarily with EU B2B clients across eight countries. The stack has changed alongside the work: WordPress and WooCommerce continuously since 2013, PrestaShop since 1.6, Laravel since v4, and Filament admin layers since v1. The same hands across all of it, which is what makes the difference on projects that need to keep working five years after launch.
Anonymized projects, real numbers
Client names withheld by NDA. The work, the metrics, and the stack are real.
Baltic freight forwarder, custom CRM
Replaced a 14-tab Excel sheet with a Laravel and Filament CRM connected to the client's freight rate engine and accounting system. Lead-to-quote turnaround dropped from 38 hours to under 4. Six months in production.
PrestaShop 1.7 to 8.x migration
Latvian retailer, 40,000 SKUs, multistore across three EU countries. Diagnosed faceted-search regressions that were quietly producing zero-result category pages. Recovered roughly 30% of category traffic. Ongoing maintenance since 2023.
Self-storage rental platform
Custom WooCommerce plugin for self-storage rentals: dynamic frontend booking forms, automated legal agreement generation, and a tenant-facing CRM. Built ground-up. In production with active tenants.
European SaaS hosting migration
Laravel application moved off shared hosting (timing out at 200 concurrent users) onto a tuned Contabo VPS. TTFB dropped from 2.1s to 180ms. Onboarding completion improved 18% in the four weeks after the cutover.
Six engagements we routinely turn down
Saying no upfront beats doing a bad job. If your project is on this list, we'll point you somewhere better.
Shopify migrations
We're not the right fit. Try a Shopify Plus partner agency that lives in that ecosystem full time.
Wix or Squarespace customization
Different stack, different problems. Hire someone who works in those builders day in, day out.
Pure design work without development
No Figma-only engagements. If you need a design file with no code attached, hire a product designer.
Open-ended advisory retainers
Everything we sell is scoped with a written deliverable and a fixed price agreed before work starts.
More clients than we can properly support
Our capacity is finite. We hold a hard ceiling on active engagements rather than overpromise availability.
US-based hosting migrations
EU infrastructure focus. We deploy to Hetzner, Contabo, and EU data centres only.
